From a very early age I remember all the pearl necklaces parties my mom would have at the house. At least once every two months, my mom and her friends would get together along with all their pearl necklaces and begin putting them on and taking them off for hours. As a kid I really didn’t understand the allure of pearl necklaces, but I do remember the sound laughter and joy coming out of my living room when all the ladies got together. One thing I noticed about all the pearl necklaces they brought was that some of them were of different colors. I was under the impression that pearl necklaces were mainly one color, but back then those pearl necklaces parties taught me that the allure and beauty of pearls come in all types of hues. At the end of their pearl necklaces party some of the ladies would en up swapping their necklaces with each other and make believe they’d just bought a brand new set of pearl necklaces. Today, some of the same ladies still get together for their party, but now they’ve added a 14k gold jewelry party and that one has become their favorite.
