pearl necklaces           Pearl Necklaces

They were just three pearl necklaces sitting in the lost and found box that day. No one knew where they came from; they just appeared. Eventually, after not being claimed during the 30 day grace period, the manager of the flower shop decided to give the pearl necklaces away.

The first one went to an older lady who lived alone. She was a regular customer at the flower shop, getting a rose every day to put on her husband's grave. The day after she was given one of the pearl necklaces, she came in all excited. She had won a nice bundle on the lottery, so nice that she would be able to move her sister from three states over in with her and not be alone anymore.

The second of the pearl necklaces was given to a man buying flowers for his wife. They had been trying to have a baby but were not able to so they were trying invitro. The husband gave the flowers and the necklace to his wife that afternoon before their appointment. He came in a few days later to buy more...they were expecting!

The last of the pearl necklaces had been given to a lovely but shy lady who walked by the flower shop every day and looked in, wishing she had someone to buy flowers for her. The manager simply walked out there and handed her some flowers and the necklace. A few days later, the woman walked in on the arm of a man who insisted on buying her a bouquet of roses and thanked the manager for the necklace. It had been a wonderful conversation starter on the subway the day the woman received it and was therefore the reason they met and fell in love at first sight.

The manager was now convinced that pearl necklaces had a secret power. She was so convinced that she went online and ordered more of them from the website she had bought the first three from over a month earlier. As she smiled, she placed the order, holding in her hands the pearl necklace she had been given the day she bought her successful flower shop.
