Yesterday I was out taking advantage of the gorgeous weather and had decided to do some work in the yard. I took off all my gold jewelry and left it in a bowl on the kitchen counter so that I wouldn't lose anything while I was digging around in the dirt and decided to get busy. Several years ago, I'd learned my lesson about wearing my gold jewelry while gardening, when I ring slipped off my finger without me realizing. I still haven't found that ring, but I keep hoping that one of these days I'll be digging around in the flower beds and it will appear. I was on my hands and knees bent over digging out the weeds that had accumulated over the winter when I heard a familiar sound of someone whistling. I figured it must be my neighbor across the street, and when I looked up, I saw that she was headed over for a visit.
